How did you find A Place for Gathering?
in a yahoo group
About Me:
Hi, my name is colleen, I'm 27.I was raised to be a kind and giving person and that is even more true the older i get. I am a very opinionated, independent hardworking person.I learned at a very young age if you want anything you have to work for it, even if it seems as though no one else thinks you can achieve it. I have proven people wrong on may occasions. I get so frustrated by society on a regular basis, i just can't seem to understand others need for excess and lack of respect for others and for the earth. It just seems like so many are addicted to convenience. People need to get back to the basics, stop being so damn wasteful and selfish. It's painful to watch sometimes... Sorry...i went on a rant for a minute. i am happy to be here...to learn and to find people who share some of my views and thoughts. To keep an open mind to anything. To be exposed to some others views and opinions.
Hobbies:
Listening to music, Creating anything and everything. Reuseing everything and everyhing(ok that not really a hobby just second nature) Enjoying the outdoors, fresh air, watching my dogs being silly, sewing, cooking, reading, learning
ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, family, friends the list goes on and on....
What kind of Skill and Support can you offer a community?
.
What States are you interested in for Community?
Someplece peaceful and rural
My Visions or Views for Intentional Communities are:
so wow....been forever since I've been on here...sorry. Recently relocated...to a more rural place. winding country roads and animals. I love the ocean but Glad to be away from the jersey shore and all its traffic and conjestion. :) i'll try to be on here more frequently.

did you get a chance to get down to ocala? I'm getting snowsick over here and wanted to ask if you had any suggestions for a good book. I've liked alot of Tom Robbins, even cowboys get the blues, that woodpecker one and the cheerleader one that had quite the viney tale. The last book I read was a heavy insight to american culture of pre-modern industrialism called 'Ragtime' I would suggest it but the robbins books are more entertaining
Hi Colleen, i like you words and morals! people like all of us on here need to stick together and keep in touch! i agree with everything your saying about how wistful this society i am in today is. i want out of this society and its becoming more and more of a need every day! im sure just listening to people on here will help me get through. Peace<3Marsa
Thanks Colleen, My sister had recommended that to me but I never followed up on it. The last decent radio station around here got conglomerated so I don't get exposed to as much good new music as I'd like.
